Here is a poster I whipped up today. Heard a Muse song on Radio 1 and felt a sudden need to create an altar to the brilliance of the best band that has ever existed. I think I'm going to start constructing it in my corner of the studio, starting with this poster...I have been working on my moving image all day, getting closer to a solid idea of what I will do for the final piece. This occurred somewhere in the middle of the day, was all a bit odd.

First Screen Prints

I made my first few screen prints the other day, sadly the acetates I used from uni had printed badly so the screens weren't perfect. For the final A2 posters I'll print the acetates through Snowhite and hopefully get a better result.

I will take a pic of one of the completed prints soon and shove it up here. I want to tweak the design a bit and alter the colours I have used. More experimentation to come...

New random poster

I've seen a lot of wocked poster designs recently, and I wanted to have a bash at a planetary poster/thing myself. I really like the work of Simon Page - www.simonpage.com and others, His work has been a great inspiration for my D&AD project so far. I have done a lot of abstract illustrator work recently, and I needed to get this out of my 'solar system' - get it? ha. Yes. So here it is. Not sure if I'll do any more as yet, got loads of other stuff I should really be doing. I'm thinking of doing a lot more poster design in my own time, potentially having some as final outcomes in my self initiated project along with a book or two. I really want to improve my printed work and presentation. It starts here!!

Still hammering away at the D&AD brief, getting closer to a final image...perhaps. I will be screen printing next Tuesday (finally) so hopefully I will have some more attractive, 'real' things to shove on my blog. Also trying to work on the new moving image brief, without much luck so far. Oh, and we also have some work in the Winchester Gallery at the moment. Some quick snaps have been put onto the Sauce Collective blog.
