The Big Update

I haven't found the time to blog for a while, so here is an update of some progress I've made recently.

Latest loaf of bread was the best yet, it's getting better. Got another dough on the go today as well...

I bought an oscilloscope and some kind of voltage meter/thing from the dump a little while back. I'm probably going to use them for the 'time machine mk.2' or perhaps the prediction machine. We'll see. Maybe both.

I have been making some cyanotype prints over the last few days. I am thinking of using one of the sketchbooks I made as a cyanotype sketchbook - exposing each page as I go.

Pain Au Chocolat

Made these a while ago now, didn't get around to blogging it til today. Turned out the chocolate I used was a bit bitter - lesson learned!

Retro mock up

A quick mock up to give a feel for the style I want to use for the video/animation element of my project.

commodore

I bought an old Commodore VIC 20 at a bootsale the other day. I was quite surprised to see it still works! I've been trying to figure out how to program images/sound on it but it's frying my brain slightly. Hopefully I can come up with some images to use with my project.

Sketch doodling

I was messing around with the sketch app for google chrome this morning and discovered you could rotate around your doodles in 3D, so I made this quick animation.

tracing paper animation

I am really happy with this little animation, and I don't quite know why. Maybe it is the sheer crappyness of it. I have been meaning to animate this image for a while and finally got round to it today. I am thinking of making some more stop frame animations using tracing paper overlays and lino cuts.

Bakery Progression

Here are my latest experiments along the bread/pastry front. It's probably the best bread I've made so far, I'm starting to get the hang of it. Next up - pain au chocolat.....

Animated lino cuts

Hopefully they won't destroy your eyes...
