Today I decided to focus on eyes...might actually focus on eyes for the next few days! I want to practice drawing eyes from various angles, I tend to struggle with eyes and mouths when it comes to portraits. Thinking if I focus on the different elements I can pull it all together later.

I really wasn't in the mood to draw today after a tiring day at work, but I persevered! Started by doing some 60 second figure sketched on posemaniacs.com - pretty hand to get going. I really want to improve my figure drawing, so might look to do more of these.
also really, really want to improve my portrait skills. I think I tend to try to dive straight into details when I haven't properly filled out the proportions etc. Will have to try and knuckle down!

just watched Aliens for the first time ever (except for perhaps catching a few glimpses of it on late night tv years ago) so thought I'd use that as my inspiration for my daily doodle.

I set myself a new year's resolution to draw more and I'm going to make an effort to draw at least a little bit every day. I am going to post my progress here in the hopes that it forces me to get stuck in!
